Freedom and commitment - Christian Ethics according to Bonnhoeffer and Luther

Speaker: Hans-Christian Vindum Petterson, Ma in theology and KFS staff worker

Is there such a thing as Christian ethics and , if so, what is the basis and the main features of it? Both the reformatory main character, Martin Luther (1483-1546) and the German theologian and resistance fighter Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945) believed that Christian ethics exist and wrote about it. This evening we will look at questions like: What is the foundation of Christian ethics and what are its main features? We will also look at some examples from the literary works of Luther and Bonhoeffer and discuss what it means for the western church today.
